I went back for band camp. this year, there was something different, going back this time. I saw the school in a light I hadn't seen since my band camp when I was in sec1-4. There was fear, one which I can't quite describe even now. There's something about the school at night, with all its calmness and serenity, that allows the imagination to run rampant. In my mind, all hell breaks lose, and beyond the corporeal, all hope abandon, ye who enters there. It is a whirlwind of memories and sights; ghosts of the past walking along the hallways, as though it is 2004 again. They call out to me, and I try to answer. They cannot hear me. I shout back. They cannot hear me.

The ghosts start to fade into a greenish nothingness.

Then all is quiet.

I am left sitting down in a black hole of sound.feeling as though tears are streaming down my face. My friends, out of their uniforms, return back to my side. The gradual sound of chatter brings me back to reality. I see their faces. I look into their eyes. I see exactly the same thing.

We know that those 4 years will never come back.

seeing this wonderful batch of juniors, bonding,going through hardships,happy moments,etc. really reminds me of my days in band. how i wish in life, there is a set of buttons, similar to radios, where we can hit the pause, rewind and play button and relive all those memories all over again.

just like watson said 'treasure friendship'. every moment in band and every friend made will make a difference in ur life, in school and even after u graduate,20,30 years frm now..the memories will still remain fresh in ur mind.

there really has been a change... day 1 when camp first started i could sense as though different batches were distant frm the batches.however, throughout the days, u guy really bonded and i really mean bonded. at the end of the camp.the atmosphere was different, the family spirit was there. i felt really happy for u guys. it just reminded me of the times back during our time in band.

cherish the times in band...for i have learnt my lesson the hard way(slack in sec 1 n 2) >.< cherish the friends u make...

we're one band one sound..one big family..thats what we should be and i hope the spirit will still remain there even till after u guys pass out.really looking forward to the next band camp.and now, lets all work hard towards NBC strive for the best and lets all put in our 200%.jia you!

today, recieved a phone call from the teachers at nanyang,telling me that i was accepted.at that moment,i was not happy at all.in fact, very sad.going to a new jc would mean a sudden change in lifestyle, leaving everything that has been going on the past few months to a sudden stop.whats more?i'll get to see my best friends less often.

over the past few years,since i have known these few friends, i feel that our relationship has grown significantly and i regard them as brothers.if not for them, i wouldnt be where i am right now.i'll never forget all those moments together...talking about anything under the sun, playing psp together,all those outings almost anything u can think of.i really dont know why im feeling like this now.but i feel that once our new educations commence, we'll get to see each other less often.so, mayb we can keep in touch more often? hahahahha.these few people are no other than vincent,siang hong,watson,chijie,and many more.all the times spent together,concerts watched,sad moments,happy moments, will all be treasured in my heart.

vincent: one of the best person u can know on earth.whenever ure feeling down, he will surely put a smile on ur face.hes also an excellent euphonium player and a great person to talk to.hes also one of the people who influenced my passion for music.never failing to give me advise on problems i encounter and has also made life alot happier.hes also very caring and gentle hahahah!the jokes he crack are totally ownage.LOL!ALL THE BEST ON UR MUSIC CAREER!=D

siang hong:a very good tubist and also a great listening ear.haha.hes also one of those who influenced my passion for music.he has also been one of those who have been giving me advice.hes also a very fun person and never fails to give a helping hand.ALL THE BEST TO UR MUSIC CAREER TOO!=D

watson: this guy is full of shit!hahahaha! no la joking.hes one of the most cheerful people i know.no matter what he will put a smile on his face.and he will never fail to put a smile on peoples face.also, he is a great person to talk to.haha.ALL THE BEST ON UR POLY! =D

chijie:this guy is one of the funniest guy around.haha.he also has alot of responsibility and also, hes a very filial son! HAHAHA

(this was just a very brief summary of these very good friends.hahaha.theres still alot more to say about them.LoL!)


i must say that to me, friendship is one of the most important aspects of my life.without friends,i wouldnt know how i would survive.u guys have all played an important part in my life and that have changed me somehow or another to be a better person.i will miss u guys when im in jc and hope that we will still keep in touch often.haha.take care and all the best to ur studies and future! =D

2007 is now history and 2008 is here.2007 has been a really meaningful and one of the most happening years so far in my life.haha.its just amazing how time flies.it seemed as though it was just recently we celebrated the new year of 2007 and now, its 2008 =.= wth?

The main highlights of this year is the SYF 2007 , O Levels and the Genting competition.

Well, whats life without friends yea? haha.i would like to thank my bros,band bros and as well as all those great best friends out there who have been there with me,sharing those moments of joy as well as sorrow.LOL.well, the new year is here and there will b those who are gonna b seperating to part for their different schools.U GUYS WILL ALL BE DEARLY MISSED!and lets try to keep in touch yea?hahahaha.all the memories will b locked in my heart for safekeeping =D

firstly i wanna thank mr toh.for giving me to have the opportunity to join band and to play the flute.its all thanks to papa toh that i can be at this stage today.if not for him, i would not be where i am now.i also wanna apologise for neglecting band for the first two years in band.tt time, i was really a fool to neglect band and i really really regret doing it.i also wanna thank mr toh for letting me participate in the workshops and for inviting wang tong lao shi to come help us.and also letting me use the flute.i really wanna thank you for all you've done and i wish u all e best to ur future endeavors.(too much thank yous to say so i cut short >.<)

Next are the teacher in charges.ms lim and ms sharizan, for all the hard work and dedication you have to put into band.and also for all the effort in nuturing us.THANKS ALOT.

ok.i've watched pirates on the carribean at worlds end.IT WAS AN EXTREMELY GREAT SHOW!definitely worth it.haha.de one thing i love about the show are de songs.haha.so.IVE REPLACED MY FLUTE SONGS WITH THE WHOLE OF DE PIRATES SOUNDTRACK!=D.hahahahahaha.


1st song is de opening theme.2nd song is de part when they were in singapore.it has an oriental feeling as some chinese intruments like the gu zhen was added in to the instrumentation.3rd song is my favourite!AT WITS END!it displays a very BEAUTIFUL and GRAND part when the strings come in it also display the use of different sound effects if u hear closely.haha.there are vocals,the use of organ and also the use of a chime thingy.haha.v nice.it made my hair stand.hope it makes urs too=D.LoL.DE rest contains varitations of the pirates main theme.haha.HOPE U GUYS ENJOY!haha.one more thing.u should on ur speaker to full blast when listening.den gt a super effect tt i cant explain.hahaha.last but not least.ALL OF THEM ARE COMPOSED BY HANS ZIMMER!hahaha.hes just fantastic.his other pieces include Backdraft and Spirit(the horse one).
